Egg Breakfast Casserole
Ingredients
- 4 slices Bread
- 1 pound Sausage (Jones) w/gr pepper & onion) can use Turkey sausage if you prefer over Pork
- 2 cups Cheddar cheese shredded
- 6 Eggs
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon Salt & pepper
- Mushrooms optional
Instructions
- *In a 9x13 greased baking pan, tear up 4 slices of bread with the crusts
- *Brown the sausage and drain off grease
- *Spoon over the bread
- *Sprinkle the 2 cups of shredded cheese on top
- At this point you can refrigerate and finish preparing in morning, if desired
- *Beat 6 eggs with the milk, dry mustard and salt and pepper
- *Pour over sausage and cheese
- *Bake at 350 for 45 to 60 minutes
- Note: If you are adding mushrooms, brown them in your skillet after browning the sausage
