George’s Breakfast Sausage Casserole
Ingredients
- 16 oz sausage cooked, drained and crumbled
- 4 c bread day-old, cubed
- 2 c sharp cheddar cheese shredded (10 oz)
- 2 12-oz cn Evaporated milk
- Evaporated milk
- 10 lg Eggs lightly beaten
- 1 md Onion diced
- 1 ts Dry mustard
- 1/4 ts Onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- DIRECTIONS:
- 1 Grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Place breadin prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Combine evaporated milk, eggs,dry mustard, onion powder, diced onion and salt/pepper in medium bowl. Pourevenly over bread and cheese. Sprinkle with sausage. Cover; refrigerateovernight.
- 2 Preheat oven to 325° F.
- 3 Bake for 55 to 60 minutes oruntil cheese is golden brown. Cover with foil if top browns too quickly.
